None of the dogs are absolutely danger free. They need to be trained well so that they do not react aggressively when around humans. At times dogs react in a violent manner when around strangers or kids. It could be out of their love for their owners or if the person irritates them or tries to be extra friendly with them. Biting is just the first thing that they could do. Dogs have been found to actually kill humans at many occasions in their aggression. It is the responsibility of the owners to train them well especially if taking them out in public. However, there have always been certain breeds which are thought to be a little more aggressive than others and are termed as the aggressive dog breeds. Some are even known for their rash and violent behavior. The following discussion aims to throw some light on these aggressive dog breeds including the instances that might agitate them.

a) The Chihuahua: even though they are the smallest, this breed has been found aggressive towards small children especially who they are not particularly fond of. They are usually quite friendly dogs, who bond easily with one person usually an adult. Any other person may be treated as a threat to them. There have been instances where these dogs have been found biting both kids and adults.

b) The chow chow: nicknamed as the lion dog, are the most ancient breeds of China, thought to have been originated in China. They can display quite an aggressive behavior especially when among strangers. They develop intimacy with their owners and are particularly concerned about them.

c) Dalmatian: Dalmatians are intelligent, sensitive, energetic dog breeds. They are extremely protective. At times they become fiercely aggressive towards humans. Thus, even they too fall under this aggressive dog breeds category.

d) Huskies: Huskies are intelligent, confident dog breeds. There have been found quite a number of instances where they have harmed humans by attacking and biting.

e) Rottweiler: These are known to be aggressive dog breeds. This has made them a popular choice for watch dogs. Their origin is in Germany.

f) Pit Bulls: Pit bulls have a very bad reputation as far as their behavior with humans is considered. They are fearless dogs. They have been found to maul people to death. They would lock their jaw onto their prey and would pull it out only when it is dead. These dogs are the most sought out ones for fighting. Beware of them is the only phrase for pit bulls.

g) German Shepherds: German Shepherds we all know are the policeman’s dogs. They are used by the local authorities. These are strong, confident, intelligent breed of dogs. They can become extremely aggressive at occasions.

h) Doberman Pinschers: These are great guard dogs. They are known for their intelligence, alertness and loyalty. If they are provoked they can become extremely aggressive. If kept as a pet, they must be trained properly or else they can become a big danger to the family.
