Chihuahua Rescue

“Chihuahua Rescue” is a voluntary organization that rescues, transports and fosters Chihuahua dogs .The organization believes in encouraging potential pet owners to consider adoption as their first choice rather than unethical irresponsible breeding of animals. It hopes to find a home for every Chihuahua that it rescues.

“Chihuahua Rescue” believes that every Chihuahua deserves a loving family that is willing to make it a part of their family and bring it up as their own. Abandoned, unwanted and abused Chihuahuas are rescued and placed in trusted hands. The organization consists of a group of experienced rescue people who are passionate about the Chihuahua breed and their well being. These volunteers work jointly to foster and provide veterinary care for neglected Chihuahuas.

This dedicated group is committed to providing good health and aid in improving the quality of life for the tiny, helpless dogs .All the dogs are placed in healthy, foster homes until they are adopted by caring families who have a genuine interest in these furry animals.

“Chihuahua Rescue” is a non profit welfare organization that has chapters all over the USA .all the dogs that come in to their care are given proper medical care, heartworm tested, immunized,
microhipped and neutered before placement.

It has been estimated that every year 10 million dogs are euthanized in the US because of lack of foster care or because over full shelters were forced to create more space for newer dogs coming in. These rescue organizations help in reducing the number of dogs being euthanized by fostering them until they find a new home for them. Here, the dogs are provided training to overcome house training issues as well as other health needs and behavioral problems.

Chihuahuas make good companions and do not really fair well if they are cut off from human contact. These dogs experience some of the same emotions as humans such as depression, loneliness and stress and thus a rescue Chihuahua is not put in a kennel environment rather the goal of the rescue team is to find nurturing foster care homes immediately.

Though the mission of the rescue team is to rescue abandoned, neglected dogs, not all dogs may have experienced the same situation. Many dogs come to the organization because of a change in their owner’s situation such as relocation, remarriage or simply because they were not the right match for the family.

Dogs that come from abusive homes are extremely grateful to find themselves in a loving, caring home. This gratitude can turn into a very special bond of loyalty and love that can last for as long as the dog lives. Many Chihuahuas are acutely aware of their previous situation and are all the more willing to please their new loving owners.

“Chihuahua rescue” is doing a valuable service to the dogs as well as society by rescuing Chihuahua dogs and providing them with a family that is more than willing to give love and care to the dog.
